The North Texas Commission Announces Leadership North Texas Class 16

August 5, 2024, North Texas — The North Texas Commission, a public-private partnership dedicated to advancing the vibrancy of the North Texas region, has selected the members of Leadership North Texas Class 16. Leadership North Texas is a graduate-level, regional leadership program that recruits, develops, and supports stewards of our region. Oncor is the proud program sponsor of Leadership North Texas Class 16.

LNT Class 16 consists of 35 senior-level leaders from across North Texas in various industry sectors, including elected officials, municipal leaders, education leaders, and the business community.

Since the program launched in 2008, Leadership North Texas has graduated more than 400 leaders, including a state representative, numerous mayors and city council members, a county commissioner, business and non-profit executives, and higher education leaders.

“Leadership North Texas continues to be the region’s top professional development program for management-level executives, proving that regionalism is a must in North Texas,” said Chris Wallace, President and CEO of the North Texas Commission and an alumnus of the program. “Convening public and private sector leaders together to address our region’s greatest challenges is the bedrock of the Commission. A current example is our NTX 2050 Our Next Imperative initiative (in partnership with NCTCOG) to revisit our region’s long-term plan. All LNT Alumni have been invited to participate due to their vast knowledge and appreciation of regionalism.”

Leadership North Texas meets nine times and covers topics such as regionalism, the North Texas economy, education and workforce, social determinants of health, criminal justice/2nd chance hiring, and infrastructure and sustainability.

This year, with the help of our alumni from previous LNT classes, we have launched a mentorship program in partnership with the incoming ELNT class. This program will provide opportunities for ELNT mentees to be guided by professional leaders in professional growth and for LNT graduates to share their experiences and expertise to advance NTX and create a beneficial learning environment for both mentors and mentees. Our Leadership Development Champion sponsors for this year’s mentorship program are The Injury Management Organization, Gorrondona & Associates & The Rios Group.
