Mayor Jeff Williams, City of Arlington

Jeff Williams II, the newly-elected Mayor of Arlington and new member of the North Texas Commission Board of Directors, has been a longtime volunteer for his community and North Texas. With a 34-year career as a civil engineer, Mayor Williams as serves as President of Graham Associates.

Jeff Williams is President of Graham Associates possessing 34 years of experience in civil engineering.  During his career, Jeff has worked on a diverse array of high profile projects including parks, town centers, sports complexes, and churches.  Jeff also has served as the Civil Engineer for some of the landmark projects in his hometown of Arlington. He earned his Civil Engineering degree in 1981 from Texas Tech University and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.

In his professional role, Mayor Williams has worked on some of North Texas’s most iconic projects including Fidelity’s regional headquarters, the Deloitte Headquarters and Training Facility and Vaquero residential development. His was the recipient of Arlington’s 2012 Small Business of the Year, recipient of 2009 State of Texas Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement Award and was inducted to the Civil Engineering Academy for Engineering Excellence, Texas Tech University.

Having raised a family and grown a business in Arlington, Jeff Williams has a vested interest in making our community the best it can be. A recipient of the Vandergriff Community Leadership Award,  Mayor Williams has been a community leader and volunteer with many important organizations including the Chamber of Commerce, YMCA, PTA, Salvation Army, Mission Arlington and River Legacy Foundation. 

Mayor Williams met his wife, Karen, while earning his Civil Engineering degree at Texas Tech. They moved to Arlington almost 30 years ago where they raised their three children and are active members of First Baptist Church of Arlington where Jeff has served in numerous leadership roles. Karen is an active school and community volunteer, holding many leadership positions in Arlington ISD, Church and Non-profits over the last 30 years. She is also a Bible Study Fellowship Leader in Arlington.  Their three children graduated from AISD and their oldest daughter taught first grade at Rocquemore Elementary in the AISD for 3 years.
