The North Texas Commission has launched Leadership North Texas University, our newest program under successful parent Leadership North Texas.
Leadership North Texas University, or LNT U, targets young professionals in the workforce looking to learn more about North Texas as a region.
“Today’s young professionals are citizens of the region,” said Mabrie Jackson, president and CEO of the North Texas Commission. “They see all the opportunities North Texas has to offer, but it’s important that we ensure they are well-educated on the challenges as well. LNT U will give them that platform of regional leadership with the tools they need to succeed in the workforce or working world.”
LNT U is ideal for any young professional passionate about North Texas and looking to learn more about their region, whether they’re a DFW native or new to the area. The three-day program, held from December 2-4, 2015 at the American Airlines Training Center, will address topics such as the changing demographics and economy in North Texas, and issues we face as a region. There will also be opportunities for professional development, with a focus on etiquette and networking.
Parent program Leadership North Texas, currently in Class 7, now holds an impressive base of over 200 alumni from across the region, including state representatives, executives at Fortune 500 companies and other regional leaders now making a meaningful impact on North Texas.
More information on LNTU and program applications, due October 31st, can be found on the LNTU website here.
