Congratulations to the 20 North Texas-based companies who made the 2016 FORTUNE 500 list. The Fortune 500 list was released on Fortune magazine’s website.

Irving’s Exxon Mobil remains highest ranked North Texas company at No. 2. No new companies were added to the list this year, but some did move to a higher ranking, such as AT&T moved up to No.10 from being placed at No.12 the previous year.
The 2016 Fortune 500 list recognizes the following 20 North Texas companies, in ranking order: Exxon Mobil (2); AT&T (10); Energy Transfer Equity (65); American Airlines (67); Tenet Healthcare (140); Southwest Airlines (142); Kimberly-Clark (151); Fluor (155); HollyFrontier (214); Texas Instruments (219); J.C. Penney (228); D.R. Horton (260); GameStop (302); Dean Foods (336); Alliance Data Systems (404); Trinity Industries (407); Dr. Pepper Snapple Group (413); Commercial Metals (417); Celanese (453); Energy Future Holdings (475).
According to Fortune magazine, the 20 North Texas companies collectively generated more than $656 billion in revenue.
